Tim Hortons The heart of the neighbourhood

Tim Hortons, Canada’s beloved coffee and donuts shop, is the countries largest fast food service franchise.

Tims came to us to help them defend against the onslaught of the ubiquitous Starbucks and the rise of hipster artisanal coffee shops.

We needed to reinforce Tim’s place in the hearts and minds of Canadians.

We noticed that in their heartland rural areas, local Tims are more than just a place to grab a coffee. They inhabit the same space as the village pub or the church hall.

Where people meet, gossip, do business. Local trades people advertise their services. A genuine lo-tech social network.

Not only are all of Tim’s CSR projects locally focused, but also Tims has a hiring policy of only recruiting from within 5 miles of the shop. The staff are your neighbours.

Our strategy was simple. 

Tim Hortons. We’re not a coffee shop; we’re the heart of the neighbourhood.

In our first project for such a great client, a house in Calgary was turned into your local neighbourhood Tims.
