A ‘high speed, low drag’ consultancy, leveraging creativity to drive continuous innovation, improvement and growth
Creative thinking
The superpower driving continuous innovation, improvement and growth
All too often creativity is being overlooked in business.
A fear of failure, a focus on efficiency and routine processes, a lack of understanding of creative processes among leaders, cultures that fail to reward risk-taking and even a perception that ‘creativity’ is just an artistic indulgence all often lead to a perceived pessimism around prioritising creativity in business.
That pessimism around creativity can be what is holding an organisation back.
It’s like trying to win a Grand Prix with the hand brake on.
“‘It’s what we’ve always done’
are the 5 most dangerous words in business”
Since starting UNIT_ in 2015, we’ve seen great success at delivering growth for clients across multiple sectors by helping them unleash the creativity often overlooked in their business.
After all creativity is just thinking of new ideas and innovation is how you put those ideas into practice.
Simply put, innovation is what turns your ideas into invoices…
Creative thinking unlocks next level success

Adaptability and agility - If you’re not stuck in the mire of routine processes you’ll adapt to changes faster. Thinking outside of the ordinary leads to more agile solutions that can be implemented quickly
Improving customer experiences - Creativity is crucial for rethinking the customer journey. Adopting customer centric rechniques like Design Thinking always leads to improved customer satisfaction and engagement
Enhanced Team Collaboration - Adopting creative activities and approaches by their very nature increases collaboration and internal communication. Dialogue becomes more open and knowledge sharing goes through the roof
Building a Better Culture - When you prioritise creativity you embrace innovation and experimentation leading to a more engaged and motivated workforce; empowered and encouraged to contribute their ideas
For any organisation, anywhere; being more expansive in their thinking just has to be a good idea
High speed, low drag
The expression originated in the U.S. military among special forces troops in the Vietnam war who carried only the most essential gear to be agile and effective.
The phrase became a call to action to create an agency which had at it’s heart an operational approach that would minimise unnecessary baggage and distractions to prioritise speed and efficiency.
I didn’t want fancy offices, assistants or unnecessary administrative staff.
Clients would only pay for the IQ points in the room. Not a bunch of unnecessary fixed overheads.
The breadth and depth of talent I could call on was a major contributor to our successes
Bespoke units of experts
As each new project comes in, after an initial scoping meeting with the client, a bespoke ‘unit’ of experts is put together to match the opportunity.
Having worked around the globe and across many sectors, thanks to my extended network the talent required pretty much anywhere in the world and in any discipline is normally just a phone call away.
Agile and flexible by design
As the project progresses, the size and skillsets within the unit can flex up or down to reflect the needs of each particular stage.
As one skillset is no longer needed, then those experts drop out to be replaced by other experts bringing other skills to bear.
